Meet Jeff Smyth
At the PBA, we pride ourselves on offering some of the most outstanding training – during, and off-season. Nowhere is this more clear than in our Rep program.
You may recognize our next profile from his dedicated service to Rep at the PBA, but you may not know about all the other hats he wears. Let’s get to know a little more about Jeff Smyth.

What is your role with the PBA?
Second Vice President , Director of Rep and 16U head coach
What makes you great at this role?
I’m exceptionally proud of my 10+ years of coaching experience, I’ve learned a lot about coaching, but have also developed strong leadership and organizational development skills along the way.
When you’re not at the PBA, what’s your day job?
I'm a community youth worker with at risk youth in Scarborough.
And when you’re not working there, OR with the PBA, what else do you do in your free time?
You’ll find me spending time with my family, seeking outdoor adventures or reading.
What is your vision for the 2022 season?
That Pickering Baseball Association will strive to continue to be an organization of excellence and integrity on and off the field.
What advice do you have for players or parents?
To raise a child who is comfortable enough to leave you, means you've done your job. They are not ours to keep, but to teach how to soar on their own.
What would people be surprised to learn about you?
I enjoy musicals, diet coke with a lime wedge and black coffee (now I know where you get your energy from Jeff!)
